Path of Remembrance and Comradeship (which can also be called a post-war reminder to the times when Ljubljana was surrounded by barbed wire), is the city recreation ring every year at the beginning of May. It attracts more than 45,000 participants. This is the march for people of all ages - from preschool to adult. It is relatively easy 33 km long route, which has 8 organized control points. Starting point is left to individual decisions as well as it is a decision of an individual, how much of the route will be walked. At control points the marcher collects the control stamps. The participants will receive special recognition for marched the entire route. There will be following awards for:

• One time passed route - bronze medal;
• Five time passed route - silver medal;
• Ten time passed route - gold medal.

The route can be walked at one or several times in several stages. It is not specified where you start. You can start where suits you most. Your “mission” is to collect all nine control stamps and send the control card to Timing Ljubljana. Leaflets for collecting stamps are available at TIMING Ljubljana, Staničeva ulica 41. You can also collect medals and awards there. The route is open for walkers all year. You can also collect control stamps during the year at:

The organized trail in 2026 takes place on 9 May, when the control stamps are available at the below mentioned points. Those who walk only a part of the route, will receive a memorial badge at Trg republike, those who walk through the entire route will receive a medal at your start/finish point.

• CP-2: Šiška - POT close to Koseze pond, Kmečka pot,
• CP-3: Bežigrad - POT, near AMZ Slovenia, Dunajska 128a,
• CP-4: Jarše - bus station LPP, Šmartinska cesta,
• CP-5: Polje - Mercator, Zaloška 168,
• CP-6: Fužine - POT near Fužine bridge,
• CP-7: Rudnik - the intersection of Dolenjska cesta and Peruzzijeva ,
• CP-8: Livada - POT, Hladnikova cesta.
